Availability of water

I have noticed over the past few years the water only seems to come out at specific times. (Maybe it's my imagination but I feel I had a hard time finding water last year). May I please suggest that a continual supply of liquids is essential.

Totally Agree.

Last year, between defined breakout area sessions (morning, afternoon tea and lunch) all the drinks disappeared. Like we where bad children that would STEAL them.

No water either. And if it way it was in jugs and glasses, not the best thing to take to seat.

You know what really works. Bottles, have stacks of them, water diet drinks, fruit juice etc leave them out for people during the entire conference day. Costs, but stops you having to buy water to take to the conference like I did last year.
Well there is always the whole fill up a bottle at home and bring it..

But yes, more water would be great.
words have been had about water!

The drinks going away thing I think is so they stay cold. Strange are the ways of big venues!
Guy: bit hard to travel with a empty drink bottle, still its an option :)

John: the range changed during the days too, that's a big no no.
I was kinda disappointed at the lack of cold caffeinated drinks - coke and the like - especially needed as the coffee wasn't really drinkable. I ended up at the shop most breaks to get my fix.
I'll be speaking to the venue about this *again* and asking that water in jugs and glasses be available at all times throughout the day, including on the benches in those two smaller rooms.

We won't be providing bottled water. It's an absolute scourge on the environment I would be reluctant to participate in, and I think unnecessary if there are jugs and glasses.
I was a big fan of the large ice barrel filled with soft drink cans and water bottles a couple of years back, however I think it may have been provided by a sponsor. I still think it could be a good offering for one of the major sponsors.

I bet there is more waste in conference bags environmentally than those drink bottles. I bet the venue just throws the lot into general garbage. So maybe have recycle bins for people.
I definitely support this idea. I did end up having to bring a bottle along though, you really can't take glasses into the theatres. I refill it from the jugs though, lessening the environmental scourge :) Even if they just keep a single drinks table going at all times it would probably be enough.
Everyone should get a bottle in their conference bag (maybe sponsored?) and then have refilling stations like I have seen at other seminars and trade shows. This way, good for environment, good for thirsty people.
